Cristina Vaz Tomé

Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Metropolitano de Lisboa, E.P.E., Cristina Vaz Tomé currently holds the position of Chair of Ferconsult – Consultoria, Estudos e Projetos de Engenharia de Transportes and of Metrocom – Exploração de Espaços Comerciais, companies owned by Metropolitano de Lisboa.
She served as a Member of Parliament in the Assemly of the Repubic between June and December 2025, following her appointment to Government as Secretary of State for Health Management (2024–2025), further strengthening a career marked by public responsibility at the highest level.
In the corporate and institutional sphere, she was a member of the Board of Directors of EGTA (2021–2023), served as Chief Revenue Officer and Executive Board Member of Impresa Group (2019–2022), and as Executive Board Member (CFO) of RTP - Rádio e Televisão de Portugal (2015–2019).
Cristina Vaz Tomé held senior management roles within POSEUR – Operational Programme for Sustainability and Efficient Use of Resources (2014–2015) and the Instituto de Investigação Científica Tropical (2012–2014), consolidating extensive experience in public governance and management.
Her professional career began as a Production Engineer at Autoeuropa (1993–1999), later joining KPMG (1999–2012), where she became Senior Manager in the areas of audit, finance and strategy. Since 2010, she has been a Guest Lecturer in Business Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility at the Universidade Católica, and also served as Executive Director of The Lisbon MBA.
She holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidade Nova de Lisboa (1992) and an MBA in International Management from Católica-Lisbon School of Business & Economics (1999), complemented by internationally recognized executive programmes.
